This week is nearly all about the trail icon that is the Marathon TR, and the only other new model is also a vintage style running trainer. We've added three brand new colourways of Marathon TR, all of which have the latest Cordura technology in the upper. The other running trainer is the New York, which is back available in a couple of sizes.
A Marathon of Marathon TR
The first of our three models is the collegiate navy version, which has been matched with a lighter shade of blue for the stripes and heel tab. The Cordura material really sets this re-issue apart from some of the other versions seen in recent years. Adding extra durability whilst also being breathable, Cordura has been seen on a number of models in the originals line-up.
It's always good to see a vibrant colourway on the Marathon TR, which is shown nicely through the green and purple colourway. The Marathon was first launched back in 1979, which as you can see from the midsole was primarily made for trail running. The iconic "trefoil" design isn't used for much other than the Marathon, but is still popular in the modern day.
The final colourway features a light beige upper and pink stripes, along with light gum bumpers on the midsole. The large overlays at the front and back are suede, along with leather for the stripes and lining. Thick round races complete the look, which are fed through a D-ring lacing system.

One of the most popular vintage running trainers, the adidas New York have been in and out of production over the last 10 years. It would appear as though we're out of production at the moment, which is why it's great to bring back one of the better colourways, even if it's only in a couple of sizes.
