DASSLERESALES

Boxing Day Spezial: SPZL F.C, Inverness and CP Company X SPZL

We're back after a short Christmas break with a real Boxing Day Treat, which includes Spezial items from various releases over the last 18 months. The two brand new trainer models are the Lothertex from the SPZL F.C range and the Italia X CP Company, which is the second model we've stocked from the collection. To match the Lothertex we're now stocking bigger sizes of the SPZL F.C Track Top, plus a small restock of Inverness has come in time for any turbulent winter weather.

Second SPZL X CP Company Italia

A couple of years ago adidas launched a stand alone collection of SPZL X CP Company wear to celebrate the Italian designer's 50th anniversary, which included a premium pair of adidas Italia based around the Italian tricolore. It seems fitting therefore that the shoe has made a return for the 10th anniversary of Spezial, which now has a royal blue upper with a lovely premium leather feel.

Second version of Lothertex

Another trainer making a return to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Spezial is the Lothertex, which was first launched back in 2022 as a follow up to the Lotherton. The Lothertex are better suited to testing weather conditions as they have the same adi-tex membrane as used on the Winterhill, and this newest version has a soft leather upper to further the durability.

Matching Track Top from SPZL F.C

One of the many collections released in 2024 to celebrate 10 years of Spezial was the SPZL F.C range, which had a specific focus on the connections between Spezial and football, both on and off the pitch. The tracksuit released for the collection is a typical Spezial release, although the material is almost woolly blanket-like in texture; it's ideal for a warmer track top but not well suited to the rain.

And finally.. another ideal winter item

The only addition this week to not come from the Decade Pack series is the Inverness SPZL, which were from 2023. The Inverness are a follow-up from the Carnforth SPZL, and are ideal for a more rugged trainer. The fitting is a little on the small side so if you sometimes need to go half size bigger than usual, then it's recommended with these.
