This week brings us back to the Island of Guam, which we first visited last year with the release of the leather version in white and blue. For 2024, another two models have been released we've added them both to the site today. Our other new pair is the re-issue of a 1980s classic, the Kick (now being called K 74 for copyright reasons).
Guam in Grey
Aside from the colourway, the main difference between these 2024 versions of the Guam and the pair from last year is the material, which has switched from leather to suede. This has been done to better re-create the original models, which were only released for the Japanese market at the time.
Guam in Maroon
Both the above grey version and this maroon and silver pair were the same colourways released when the shoe was first in production, which furthers the historic nostalgia. Coincidentally, a pair of Trimm Star was released a couple of years ago in this same colourway, to pay homage to the Guam as part of the Size? 'Lost Ones' collection.
And finally.. alive and Kicking
For a lot of older collectors in the modern world, the adidas Kick was the childhood trainer where it all began. Despite their considerable nostalgia, the shoe hasn't been given many re-issues in recent times, until 2024. This model has been given some vibrant stripes to go with the classic white leather upper.
